Our Story
Kasiyana is rooted in Varanasi, the historic centre of Banaras silk weaving and one of the most respected handloom clusters in India. Our brand works within this living textile ecosystem, where generations of artisans continue to preserve the warp and weft traditions that define authentic Banarasi sarees.
We are both weavers and producers of genuine handloom Banarasi silk, working directly on traditional looms with skilled craftsmen who understand the precision required in multi-shuttle weaving, intricate motif development, and refined zari construction. Every saree is created using pure silk yarn and disciplined loom-based techniques that honour the structural integrity of the fabric.
From Kadhua and Shikargah weaves to Cutwork Jamdani, Kora silk, Puna silk, and contrast-border Kadhiyal Banarasi, our collections represent distinct weaving techniques rather than surface design variations. Each style reflects a different aspect of the Banaras textile legacy, whether through individually woven motifs, detailed hunting narratives, structured borders, or delicately balanced zari work.
At Kasiyana, authenticity is central to our process. We focus exclusively on handwoven silk textiles and maintain close relationships with artisans across the Varanasi weaving community. Our commitment is to preserve traditional Banarasi weaving techniques without powerloom substitution or diluted construction methods.
Operating from Ashfaq Nagar, Varanasi, we bring genuine Banarasi silk sarees directly from the looms of Banaras to customers across India and worldwide through our online platform. Every piece represents generational craftsmanship shaped by cultural heritage, technical precision, and continuity.
Kasiyana stands for fabric integrity, weaving discipline, and the enduring legacy of Banaras silk.
Our Promise
We remain committed to preserving genuine handloom Banarasi weaving techniques, supporting artisan livelihoods, and maintaining transparency in craftsmanship. Every saree offered by Kasiyana reflects verified loom-based construction, fabric integrity, and adherence to traditional weaving standards.
